In 2020, Hurricane Sally caused substantial damage, but the home has since been repaired while maintaining some of its old charm. Located directly on Mobile Bay, the cabin boasts a 150-foot private pier that was updated in 2022. Guests can enjoy fishing for blue crabs, speckled trout, and redfish, while often witnessing spectacular dolphin shows. The sunrises and sunsets from this serene and secluded location in Fort Morgan, Alabama are truly exceptional.
Fort Morgan is situated at the westernmost end of the peninsula, surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico to the south and Mobile Bay to the west, ending at Mobile Point. Although Fort Morgan has a Gulf Shores mailing address, it is actually an unincorporated part of Baldwin County. For years, Fort Morgan has fought to maintain its natural, pristine, and uncrowded character, distinct from the more developed Gulf Shores area.
Escape to a charming coastal town and experience the laid-back vibes of the beach. Unwind on the deck with stunning views of Mobile Bay, just a short 2-minute drive or 10-minute walk from the uncrowded, white sandy beaches. Spend the day collecting shells, spotting dolphins, and swimming in the clear blue waters of the Gulf.
Just a short drive away, you'll find several excellent golf courses, as well as shopping opportunities at the Gulf Shores and Foley (Tanger) outlet centers. Explore the historic Fort Morgan, one of the two forts that protected Mobile during the Battle of Mobile Bay, dating back to 1812. After your tour, enjoy strolling the white beaches, swimming, fishing, crabbing, shell hunting, and sunbathing. This spot is a favorite among birdwatchers, who have reported sightings of rare migratory birds.

The rental features 2 bedrooms, with 1 queen bed and 2 bunk beds. Parking is available at our other homes on the beachside when available.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $50.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges (less $50.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

About the Owner
My husband and I have been visiting the picturesque Gulf Shores area for decades. After 35 years of marriage, we've settled on a quaint farm in central Alabama, raising two boys and doting on our beloved granddaughter. The allure of the beach and fishing has always captivated our family, leading us to dream of owning a house in the area. Fortunately, the short 4-hour drive allows us to visit frequently and make the most of our coastal retreat. In recent years, we've channeled our passion for construction into building a home nearby, which we plan to call our retirement haven. As seasoned General Contractors, we've honed our skills, custom-building one home and completely remodeling two others. Eager to expand our real estate portfolio, we're recently constructed constructing a fourth rental property - a spacious 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom unit designed with accessibility in mind.
